Crantock Beach

Crantock Beach is a beautiful stretch of golden beach on the estuary of the River Gannel. It has good surf and is suitable for surfers of all abilities. It is part of an extensive sandstretch that runs between the headlands of Pentire and West Pentire and includes extensive dunes, rock pools, and caves for exploration. Crantock is at the River Gannel’s mouth. Dunes that are steep lead to the beach. Be aware that the beach’s right side meets the River Gannel estuary, so it’s best to swim to the left of this lovely bay to avoid the currents. Crantock Beach is 45 minutes away from Newquay Town Center by car or 15 minutes by car, and buses frequently go there and back.
