Watergate Bay

Tregurrian Beach, which is located in Watergate Bay and has two miles of golden sand, is three miles from Newquay’s downtown, which is a 15-minute drive or a 45-minute walk away. Watergate Bay is a popular family vacation spot due to its extensive sand dunes and close proximity to Newquay. The beach hosts annual surfing events, and the bay’s Atlantic swells make it equally popular with water sports enthusiasts. Stem Point and Trevelgue Head are to the north and south, respectively, of the beach, which is backed by steep cliffs. Watergate Bay is usually quieter than beaches closer to Newquay, but this can change in the summer.
